Step 13: Reconnecting the headphone jack/clickwheel at the bottom. By using a flat razorblade (recommended) or a small flat screwdriver, line up the ribbon cable connector that was detached in step 5.  When properly lined up, this will only take gentle pressure until you feel the connecter snap into place.  If you are pushing and it does not connect carefully align the connector again.  Use good lighting to align the parts.    ***It is recommended to turn on the iPod and test the click wheel before continuing.  You may have to plug in the iPod briefly to reset it.  If your click wheel doesn’t work you may have not fully reconnected the connector.  When done, shut off iPod before continuing.
