Step 11: Reinserting the motherboard.

Make sure that the newly soldered leads are tucked safely next to the motherboard.  Slide the motherboard back into the casing slowly taking care to investigate any time the motherboard feels like it gets caught.  Usually a little wiggle or readjustment will keep the board moving in.  (See tips for inserting the motherboard).

Tip 1: You can use a piece of parchment paper (the width of the screen and approx 4 inches long), to cover the screen when you are sliding the motherboard into place. This keeps any glue from getting on the iPod window.  The parchment paper can be pulled out after the motherboard is in place.

Tip 2:  you can also use a piece of parchment paper to cover the new contacts as you are sliding the motherboard into place. This will avoid any damage or snagging as the parts come together.
