Step 9: Removing the battery. The battery is glued to the back of the screen as well as the motherboard.  Go slowly and use common sense when prying up the battery. Using a razorblade, separate the battery slightly from the metal casing and the screen. (BE SURE TO HAVE A CLEAN SURFACE BENEATH YOUR SCREEN SO THAT YOU DO NOT SCRATCH IT).  Once you have separated the back of the screen from the battery, it will still be glued to the motherboard.  Hold the motherboard and metal casing firmly in one hand and gently separate the battery from sticky surface.  This may take patience When the process is completed, the battery will only be attached to the motherboard by three wires.  Do not pull on these wires.
