Step 1: Removing the bottom plastic Use the provided flat tipped screwdriver to remove the bottom piece of plastic from the iPod. This is held on by a small amount of glue only. By starting inside the charging port and carefully prying upward, it is possible to remove this piece without any scratching of your iPod. If need be, use a hair dryer to blow warm air on the plastic to soften the glue underneath.
